Which would you suggest pays better, has more opportunity where hard work = more pay and allows me to be at home with my family at the end of the day?

If you want to work bad enough you'll get out and do the leg work and find the job. Good Luck

They also have a very poor maintenance program. Experience is good but if you can't maintain a good record it may hurt your future prospects.

West coast sand and gravel might work for a newbie. Like many have said it' slim pickings for your first gig. Also might try Andrews logistics out of gardena, it's tanker work but may hire a rookie if desperate.

That's what they spend their money on the the trucks not the drivers.

All I know is that every time I've talked to their drivers they tell me that getting stuff fixed is like pulling a cat's teeth.
