When you say no piercings do you mean everything or just no facial piercings? Are ear rings ok?

No earrings. And yes they will say something, one of the guys in my class forgot to take his out and heard it from the instructor. I just left mine at home. Not sure if you can wear them when on the road.

Don't get seen ever with any kind of piercing. First it is a safety issue with load securement items getting caught on them, and second iit shows that you don't follow the rules. TMC does not put up with employees who flaunt the rules.

I float the gears most of the time. TMC doesn't care what you do as long as you don't grind the gears.

Supersingles are a single wide tire on each axle end replacing a set of duals. They do ride really nice, reduce weight, and supposedly improve fuel economy, but the drawbacks are poor tread life and needing to repair them on site rather than limp to a good spot to change the tire. TMC has a lot of trucks with them, but after extensive testing the decision was made to get away from super singles. The fuel economy gain isn't as great as advertised, and it does not offset the other added costs. They even went so far as to remove the super singles from my truck and convert it back to duals.

Rawlco, my home is in Omaha, NE, I'm starting school this week and have a pre-hire from TMC. Would you mind telling me what freight is like for someone who resides in my area?

    LawDawg,
Freight should be pretty good for your area. In a typical week you will probably load at Griffin Pipe in Council Bluffs on Fridays around noon. That load will take you home and you will leave Sunday early afternoon to deliver that pipe in Illinois, stopping for fuel and a truck wash at the Des Moines terminal. Load monday in Illinois and deliver in western PA on Tuesday. Loading there to deliver in Kansas City for Thursday, Pick up a load thursday heading toward home for Friday, load at Griffin pipe again and go home for the weekend.

company policy is none at all even your ears. they aren't crazy about tattoos either but alittle harder to enforce, as long as it isn't "sleeves" or too offensive the pass.

Well I don't know about MI, but I park my truck at my house. It is bad enough when I have to go out and start it every evening and turn it off in the morning, I can't imagine parking it very far away but you do what you have to do. You could get home during the week sometimes, but it is best to make appointments for Mondays or Fridays. I was on long haul and could usually take a 3 day weekend when I had been out for several weeks. On linehaul taking a long weekend will really impact your paycheck.
