Does anyone know if you are able to rent a truck big enough with air breaks to take to a testing cite with someone who has a CDL Class A?

Highly unlikely.....normally truck rental places only rent to 'qualified" businesses.

Ya I would go to school. Other than that maybe you could talk to a manager at the truck rental place. Everybody has a price right.

Depends where you at probably. There were couple guys in Chicago who would bring their automatic day cab truck to dmv by your appointment time and rent to you for $300 or so

You can try and speak to somebody who has a truck like a owner operator .

    WHS...
My buddy did this and it cost him $400. Unfortunately, he failed the first time so he had to dig deep for another $400.

Rent the smallest truck you can find. Don't take your test in anything huge. Google CDL RENTAL and insert your state. You may have to drive across the state to find a place.
