Take it slow is key. Also try to think back on when you’re having trouble, would you say your cranking the wheel one way, then all the way the other and back and forth? Try not to over steer, you’ll have much better luck with smaller steering wheel adjustments, and letting the truck come back around in one motion then trying to serpentine it in there parallel and chasing your trailer back and forth. Just takes time. It’s one of those things that once you get it, it’ll click.

line up the center of your rear tandem tire with the outside edge, turn wheel hard to the lock, back slowly till you see the landing gears in the right mirror, stop turn your wheel all the way to the other lock, start backing, when you get the cab centered on the trailer stop, I forget its been 25 years since I had to do this, but thats a start.

Take it easy slow relax . I am not sure if you already have a cdl but if you don't and must take the exam i remember you can get out of your truck 2 times to see the back not sure . So plenty of time and when you get your cdl just take it easy get out of the truck 100 times just make sure your doing it the right way eventually with time comes experience and you will park it like a bicycle . And try not to over steer especially at the beginning of the backing up process

Point your driver side trailer bumper at the corner of the box by the curb. Straight back it til your a few feet away from the curb then kick the front end in and pull up a couple feet to straighten out.
