Run dedicated 8ga direct to battery with your own fuseable link..

Look at the diagram for your truck's fuse box ( usually on inside of cover) and find the fuse marked CB, should be a 10 amp fuse.

Just tried and didn’t see one that specified a cb. I have no clue what most of these even read

What kind of truck? Call the dealer and ask them or ask your shop.
