I love the way they have said the ports were going to help truckers get cleaner trucks... Why not make them pay for it themselves? Does this mean that at some future point in time they will start charging the shipping companies a per container fee also, in the guise of helping them pay for cleaner ships? And are the fees going to go away after they raise the 1.6 Billion dollars for the program? OH I forgot they have to pay for the staff to administer the program, so the fees will never go away. I do not know why anyone would do business in those ports. May-be if the ships went elsewhere CA would just witter away... Problem solved... Is this good for business in CA.? Everything seems to be about cleaning up the trucks there, as if no one else polutes the air in CA... IMHO

As soon as the ports and roads are completed in Mexico, the southern Cal ports will look like ghost towns.

You would think that's where the smart money would be... Hey they like all those illegals out there so at least they will have work for them... That way they can bring their dirty trucks from Mexico to CA.
That way they can get back to the standard of living they want so badly.

You mean SUBSTANDARD dont you?

I'm thinkin' that I was being sarcastic when I made that post but it would work either way... Hey they think it is going to raise their standard, and I could care less what those CARB/Port freaks think... I know in the long run it will affect the rest of America...
