Time Is Money When Snoqualmie Pass Closes to Truckers

Go around if ya cant go over!

 

Alot of companies charge for out of route miles unless authorized.

 

Not only that, there are not a whole lot of options out there around Snoqualmie.

 

There are plenty of "get arounds" for Snoqualmie. They all add over 150 miles to the trip though. Stevens and White passes are usually travel-able while Snoqualmie is blocked....but both require a bit of perseverance...and good chain skills. Dropping south to Goldendale and Hiway 14 adds a bit over 450 miles to the trip...but is totally do-able.


And yes been there done that. White Pass made me do this a lot one night.

 

Shhhh driver don't be telling all our secrets we'll have a traffic jam. For anyone else reading this...if you're not excellent at chaining don't even try it.

 

Stevens Pass (US 2) is closed due to avalanches. They've evacuated the summit..
