Wayne was out for about 5 weeks last time. He left Sunday night. He looked into a lease later. He has gotten more confortable with driving now. It takes a little time. Right now he is happy teaming doing a dedicated run but if he ever decides to lease, the option is there. With the economy, people have to be careful. You never know what will happen. At least oil dropped which brought down fuel prices. Training is a good thing to think about. You can make good money doing that but you have to worry about getting a really bad driver. There is always a bad side to everything. Hey Jess, could you also pm me and tell me some about the lease program? Thanks.

In order to make the most money most lease Op's stay out as long as they can.
While I was a company driver there I would stay out usually 4 weeks at a time, stay home 3-4 days.
Around Holidays though I would usually stay out 5-6 weeks before the holiday I wanted off, and put in for it at least that far in advance. I was home for all the ones I requested, but I would not ask for 2 in 2 months. So like with Thanksgiving and Christmas I did not like to ask for both, so I would stay out Thanksgiving and be home 5 days at Christmas.

I am sorry to see that some drivers are having so many problems lately. They were good to me when I needed it, and I got good fleet managers, so I guess I was lucky.
I don't make as much now, and I miss the extra money, but my wife is much happier, and I can ride on the weekends now, when the weather is good.

I seem to be chasing snow of late though. We have a break for a day or so now, but it will be back tomarrow. I may get back home before though. I am going to deliver early tomarrow in New Jersey, and hopefully am not detained long for reload to head back. I-80 is a mess in PA when the freezing rain comes, like they are calling for tomarrow night.

You will be with a trainer for 25-28 days. Then you go through the upgrade process which takes 1-3 days. You get $50 for the upgrade so don't waste time. Then you get your own truck and sign on and wait for your first load.

You will be able to go O/O after 2-3 months from your hire date.

Good luck with your training. I was lucky. My trainer, Greg, was very helpful in getting me ready for O/O.

Bring plenty of warm clothes it is freezing! I will tell JJ you will be at the school in West Valley from the 12th, If he does decide to train for a while it won't be until after the 4th February, so I will see what I can do about getting Paul for you.

JJ has to be home for a few days in February as he has to renew his medical card.
