Teach him to float the gears from the passenger seat for you while you drive. I have a buddy that said it was real tough to learn how to shift with his right hand since had been shifting for his dad for years.

The only issue I see if the boss has ok"d it, is safety, i'm sure as a responsible parent you'll make sure everything is fine.

You would be crazy NOT to take him. Dairy farms would be great for a young kid. Especially if you get a fatherly rancher that lets him visit the calving barns and bottle feed a calf. You'll be like the coolest Dad in the world to him, and he will think you have the greatest job in the world.

But, but, but....my son played tball and didn’t a ribbon. Having him sit on a regular seat might scar him for life

Now, .... that right there is an excellent suggestion!
Although, ..... when his friends view the photos, there may be thirty, or more, kids who'll want to be adopted by the OP so they can ride along, too. Even if they don't like milk.

ShuX HowdY, Cowboy, --- I'm (nearly) ten times his son's age, --- and I wanna take that ride-along, too.
And I'd even provide my own child's seat.

YeaH, if you're drivin' a day cab Big truck.
But if there's a bunk behind y'all, he might prefer to stay with the truck.

I'm thinkin' it'll be safe to assume that won't be necessary.

Just don't let him drive the truck or else a Swift recruiter will harass you at the next shipper.

Yep some of the earliest memories I have are being in the truck with the old man running steel into NYC. Started taking me when I was 3 years old, car seat in the truck and everything lol. Caught the bug
