I don't know why anyone would work for a company where the first 100 miles are unpaid.

First 100 not paid and you still going to run 4000 miles a week? For $1800 (1099 I'll bet a cup of coffee) good grief.

    ####.......

And I bet they are using HHG miles as well.

If you got 2yrs experience you should know better then to seat a Volvo 670. Talk about a chocolate covered turd of a truck. Even brand new they handle like crap. And mine had those fuel milage tires where they are racing slicks on a quarter of the surface of the tires. The body roll is crazy bad & the suspension feels like your driving a stagecoach in the old west They are easy to back but that short wheelbase will beat you up like you just spent the day at the gym..
Some guys like them, but I'm not one of them.

I worked for this guy a month ... The new truck turns out to be rented and would up pulling a used older trailer with rusted rims that needed tires and they choice to only replace 3 of them with cheap used ones ... The hubs were bone dry and needed almost 3 Lucas stop leak qts before I could bring it to the full line on the side glass marks .... It was suppose to be no slip seating but when I finally got back home here in Tampa they told me that I was getting a newer truck and had me empty my truck out then gave it to another driver... Now I find myself chasing my paycheck and getting no return calls back and only getting a few scattered text messages saying I will get paid all the money owed to me.... I made the mistake to using my own money to pay for a month of scales and tolls that amounts to in the hundreds because of nyc toll bridges and thruways... So far honestly not looking like im going to get a dime from them... Beware and pass them up in your search for a better driving job. Go with a bigger company...

Not trying to bust your balls here but why would you ever loan a company money? You're already loaning them your labor for free.

Aha, that makes sense now. You are horrible with money so you went and kept making horrible decisions I mean come on, the first mention of not getting paid for miles driven in an industry where one is expected to give away free labor anyway you should have left....
While they are very likely a horrible company, one needs to look in the mirror if bad things keep happening to one's self.

Good luck finding anything on CL that isn't 1099 unless it's one of the mega's advertising on there. You all know those ads, they're always overly cheesy and laced with an abundance of explanation points, as if that will get their point across and convey enthusiasm. Unfortunately, it works on far too many naive humans. I'll tell you one thing though, I'm not driving a single mile unpaid, let alone 100.

Let me guess, before you head out for three weeks they have you load a dozen short hauls, all under 100 miles?
