Do they make turbo wings for mid roof cascadias?

I may be wrong about this, but once I had to use a flatbed truck to pull a load so it was mid roof with no roof spoiler/roof wing. I always thought it was only for aerodynamics, but when I pulled a reefer trailer with a mid roof truck man it felt like I was driving in a tornado since I had to fight with the steering wheel to keep the trailer in the lane. Is it possible it just happened to be extremely windy that day or the air blowing on the front of my trailer causing it to sway so much?

If it was because of absence of a roof spoiler, I did a search and cannot find a turbo wing that fits a Cascadia. They only seem to built for stylish old school looking trucks? I prefer a mid roof truck for various benefits as I am the only person in my truck.

It's an interesting question, but I have no answer.

Have seen midroof trucks pulling refers and boxes. That would lead me to think it may have been the high winds. Does not exclude the probability that it could be made worse with a midfoof.

Think checking a truck salvage place for a freightliner roof mounted fairing would be better than an add on item. The fit and mounting hardware would be for a freightliner and better line up with no custom drilling. The other idea would to be get in touch with a place like 4 states truck, they do custom work, or they may be able to order something for you.

You're pulling a parachute behind you, but its not enough to put it all over the road unless you're light and it's windy.

Supposedly those Turbo wings do more harm than good for aerodynamics, especially if the wind is not head on, which is pretty much always.
Just get one that is made by Freightliner for your truck, better fit for aerodynamics.

That unit works as an air dam. I’ve a flat top truck, reefer trailer 6.6-7.0mpg. Dry van 5-5.5. Same weights same roads.

HD1524-driver-front.jpg they do make them, probably can find one in a salvage yard. Or order via Freightliner. I wonder what one of those chrome ones would look like on a mid roof cascadia....

Yes I was empty now that you mention it. But I had the same dedicated route for a few months and never had a problem until I drove that mid roof truck for a day
