New to trucking but considering going owner opp

Hey guys I’m fairly new to trucking but been around it long enough took some trips before I started driving with my older cousins both who are owner opps and well experienced I’ve only been driving for about 7 months I’m thinking of getting a truck once my 1 year of experience kicks in this September I’m not trying to do any lease purchases I don’t want the hassles that comes with it, not to mention the amount of money they make off of every LP I don’t have a specific truck I’m looking for as long as it has good mileage and is still under warranty and will last me some time I don’t mind the Detroit’s there decent engines but I’d rather deal with something that has a Cummings I’m just worried about the financing and weather or not I will be able to purchase an extended manufactures warranty if such thing exists both my cousins are planning on helping me out they are both owner opps one of them living with me in Florida and the other living in North Carolina I want to be able to go out make some decent money and be able to come home whenever I want as I have 2 little ones right now I’m with covenant transport but they don’t really have any good dedicated accounts or lanes in the state of Florida do these truck dealers work with anybody or do the look for a certain credit score to even have the conversation of financing? My question is How does the whole process work pretty much

 

I was actually going to run with road runner or Landstar sign on with them and run with their authority the only thing is I want to run flatbed and road runner doesn’t have a flatbed division Landstar does but road runner pays 85% and Landstar pays 73%

 

I heard about Vero I live in Fort Lauderdale so that wouldn’t be a bad idea I’ve seen hey but don’t know to much about them however I will do my research thanks

ive spoken to a lot of truckers and majority of them complained a lot about the financing and the numbers game that you play with these finance companies so I’m jus asking to see if any of you have advice on that part because I have the money to put down and I have money set aside as well for repairs etc it’s just getting the truck
