Just about every company I've called has an orientation date no sooner than February 4th.That's a bit of a stretch and I'd like to avoid that if possible.Any suggestions?
Who's hiring?

Schneider is having a thing at the Work Force Developement Center In Racine Wi. on the 13th of January. I know this is a ways from you, but maybe you could call them about it. The posting I got says that they have 100 openings. Two or three months ago they had one that had about 1/2 that amount of openings. This is for a licensed, experianced driver. I was supposed to start training there last Nov 8th, but it was cancelled because the economy took a dump. I had 35 years in at Chrysler and in August I thought I'd retire and get a job driving. Good idea, bad timing. This retirement thing isn't for me. Will have to get a job doing something else. Good luck.

Saw on the news this morning that many trucking companies are going under.

The "terrible 5" are all hiring. Werner, Covenant, Swift, USX, CR England. Dishonorable mentions for CRST and FFE.
Some are getting into TMC it seems if you want flatbed they're good. Roehl would also be a good one.
Prime and Schneider have a freeze on student hires.jerryy123 Thanks this. -
