Alright I'm new to posting on here so I hope this is in the right place. I was wondering the other day what year were full differential locks offered? not power dividers but full lockers where all 4 sets of drive tires pull all the time. And when did heated mirrors become an option? When did power locks and power windows become an option?

Google is better for those questions

I don’t know exactly the year but in my 31 years of trucking I can always remember full lockers and power windows being available. Power locks not so much on many company trucks until recently. My first power windows were air activated. My current rig I ordered with all of the options you mentioned, keyless entry and several other options.
-
I bet those options costed a good bit
-
It really didn’t cost that much to add most of the items I upgraded. I was surprised at how little the price went up. Disk brakes upgrade on my tractor was almost nothing. On my trailer the disk brakes were $2,000, which was still worth the cost to me.
-
So you got the disc brakes? how well does it stop compared to drums?
-
Very well, I think it is supposed to stop close to 30% sooner than drums. Luckily I have had no panic stops yet. I have had it in service for about 180,000 miles and the wear on the pads is almost not noticeable. I do mostly short haul so I do quite a bit of stopping compared to an OTR operation.

Disc brakes would be good for us in my area no one knows how to drive properly, more stopping power and sooner stopping would be a great thing. but that would mean we would have to get newer trucks, unless their is a way to convert to disc from drums? I need to do some research on that. Do you know how long disc brakes have been an option?
-
I don’t think converting to disk is a viable option. They have been on semi trucks for years in Europe. The US is gradually coming around, but if it costs a dime more sore trucking company bean counters wouldn’t consider it. That is a good part of being an owner op. If I want to pay for it, I get to have it. I feel like over the life of my rig it will save me money and possibly the hassles of out of adjusted brakes.
-
I beat if the company's went to disc brakes the brakes would probably pay for them selves with less maintenance and might even keep them out of a lawsuit or two dealing with brake checkers and things of that nature. adjusting brakes is a bit of a hassle especially with the dried up grease and oil falling in your face
