What is with this annoying infatuation with echo?

Heard one today. Called himself, “The Audio Vato” (which was fairly funny. Lined up before a firing squad would have bettered it).

Saw a batch(4) of 955' s all with noise boxes that matched the radios colors and it was linked to the stryker radio home page..It was something on fb i think..

 

I agree, with both of you. I run a General Lee with Echo on low setting. Those whom use it at maximum are true illiterate, idiots.

I hear these things in Texas every now and then. Difference between here and SoCal is that this’ll get you hunted down in this state. 5% of state population lives west of a line 50-miles west of IH35. “Big area” only means they can hide for so long. Only so many watering holes. Someone will figure out who is that irritating SOB.

 

As annoying as to much echo, are those super annoying Roger beep, and other noise toys. The one's that drivers use like they are 5 years old, and think it is funny.

 

A guy I know in PA, has a modified Galaxy 959 with a DPDT switch, one side of it is a factory length roger beep, flip the switch to the other side and it’s hell on earth. 30-40 second long beep since he put a larger capacitor in “just for fun”.

 

Those buttons are for anti-social haters. Must be sad to live like that.

 

I used to do the same..Always sounded perfect in talk back but on air was always to much....My method now is to plug into my ext speaker and use ear buds..I find you can get it down to just barely hear it but on air its a tad more but not to much..
