i hired on as a team driver in 07/08 and quit. my team partner was having way to many problems to be driving truck. what i want to know is will schneider ever rehire you if you quit. I thought they were a real good company. could kick myself in the you know what for quitting that was stupid. I know they get ragged on a lot but they really are a excellent company especially easy to get along with

It might be tricky now since they did away with their schools and only hiring experienced drivers. This is a recent development.

I think quitting is a no no at least for the Dac report. How long have you been driving for? I doubt if they take you back but it's worth a shot to call them up and explain what happened. Maybe they will work with you, i never been in that situation before sorry.

I quit in early 99, came back in early 06, no problem. But when I left I did everything one should do when quitting...i.e. two weeks notice, no bridges set ablaze..BUT I should mention with their training program on haitus, that as I had gotten out of the industry I had to redo my training, but now that their trainf program has been suspended I have no idea what to expect, unless you have driven in the last year.

How long have you been out of the seat? Since you have some years behind you, if it is within 3 years, there may be a shot. Worth a call at least!

You need to call your old DBL (Schneider's term for your driver manager) and find out if you have a eligible for rehire or do not rehire reccomendation.

If the only reason you quit was a team partner that did not work out you should have gotten a "divorce" and run as a solo.

Call your old DBL back and ask......

With so many trucking co, that went under last summer because of fuel, plus the economy, and so many businesses going out of business, which means less freight, know you have more and more experienced drivers looking for jobs, more construction workers getting in to trucking these trucking co can pick and choose instead of drivers picking and choosing.it may become easier to get trucking work this springor summer but only time will tell

I quit a schneider and later they re hire me and then quit again .You have to give them a call. But if you drive solo you don't have miles . This is my opinion.

Was that was when the economy was good truck, because i cant even buy a phone call from a trucking co right now. It seems they only want you if you dont have a CDL or your experienced.if you have a CDL and no experience and have not been in a school within the last 60 days they would rather not talk to ya.Yet i can see why experienced drivers get so angry and thedes schools aren't really fair to the job market of trucking because it makes jobs harder to get and thats the way they keep drivers pay so low. because if you dont want to drive for .29 per mile then screw you they will get a newbie who can. its all a big scam. The DAC report is really a big scam.THESE ware houses suggest trucking companies hire newbies also so they can keep freight low.I'm not a experienced driver but i can see why they complain so much because they have dedicated there whole life to trucking then you get some newbie that either keeps his pay low or keeps him fromm getting a job just for the newbie to find out trucking is not for him.
