PTI on an 8/2 split?

So I get up, do a pre-trip, drive for 3.5-4 hours, load for two hours (better than expected) and drive 3 more hours.

This put me at a spot I wanted to stop for dinner anyway and I thought, 'hmm instead of rushing dinner? Why not take 8 here?' (Split logging is new to me) so I get up 8 hours later, it's now 17 hours since I started but I have 4+ more hours available to drive, BUT,,,,

Do I have to log a 2nd PTI? It IS after midnight, but it's still inside the last 24 hour period since my last pre-trip. And in 4 hours (now actually, is where I am while typing this) when I take off 2 more hours I'll be doing a proper pre-trip & fuel stop before starting "tomorrow"

It's kind of a 2 part question but part 1 (how many minutes are we supposed to show for a prettily?) is something we've already been discussing.

Times like this I miss 15 min intervals.

When in doubt show the extra couple minutes and do an inspection it doesn't hurt anything!
I usually show 3-5 minutes on electronic. Sometimes longer.

I would just not overthink it, if I can stop for 8, I should be able to stop for 10 and have all the hours to drive I need.
