Is trucking worth it, given it's one of the most dangerous jobs in USA?

Little Jazz makes serious coin. I pointed out when he was very young trucking wages are meager compared to trades. I brought him on numerous trips and although we had big ole' time I made sure he knew what i was compensated for and what I wasn't.
Usually little J earns in the $5000k weekly IMG_0436.JPG fullsizeoutput_764.jpeg plus per diem up to $200 per day
The fellow exposed is fine and will not get laid off and will not be exposed for a year. A fat compensation check as well. They are urine tested twice daily for exposure. Exposed fellow peed black.

Anything is worth it if you love to do it. I have a friend who “loved” biggins (large women). I could never figure it out, but it wasn’t my place and he is happy. And often quite exhausted. LOL

I fully understand the attraction to trucking as 6 weeks training and you step into $40K plus annually. Unlike the 3 year commitment to an apprenticeship in the the trades.

Yes it’s worth it for some people. Depends on who you are and what you make of it. Generic answer but true. We aren’t all the same.

Have you not noticed all the various crashes just the past year where truckers have died just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time? Like another truck crosses the median directly into your path?

2 deceased FedEx drivers were minding their own business and driving safely when another truck crashed into them ... 3 dead total.

I will agree with Dave on this one. I wont haul fuel for my own reasons. But exposure to certain things that can hurt a person really bad if that person (Not necessarily yourself or anyone specifically, I am speaking in general) missed a important detail in his work.

I can also think or choose to consider the fun I have had out there with a big truck. I don't speak of it often enough as I should. We live in a Nation where in many areas the people are great in their own ways. Im just passing through. And you never forget the good ones.
