CBers causing problems with home electronics

find a couple hamm radio operators, get em riled up and they will turn em in for illeagle amps and such.....im gonna guess they dont just stay on the 40 either

or just put a pin hole in thier coax, but that would be vandalism

to keep me outta trouble i would go with the ham's

 

you could try getting their liscense plates and file a disturbance of the peace warrant . call the FCC EVERY SINGLE DAY till they get off their ### and help . back in the day you could follow folks and "deal" with them .

 

That is what makes the rest of us look bad. I like to play and love electronics. I have some really big toys and do use them from time to time but NEVER around homes or people for that matter.

I like the pin in coax method for these guys.

 

Some ham operators like to practice a sport which combines electronics with physical activity:
It is called "Fox hunt". Basically somebody hides several low powered automatic transmitters in a remote area, which transmit a short morse code identifier every few minutes. The goal for several participating teams is to find these transmitters in an as short time as possible using handheld direction finding equipment and a map. To prove that they have been there, they have to stamp a competition card with a stamp attached to the transmitter.
Basically it is a mix of building their equipment and running.

This equipment can also be very well used to track down other transmitters, and has been used for chasing down intruders in the past. Then the FCC (or it's equivalent in other countries) gets a whole package of evidence, including audio records and witness statements, which allows them to raid the respective adress. It works best if the intruder appears at the same time again and again, because then the authorities can listen to the intruder themselves.

To find them, just contact the local chapter of the ARRL (I assume that you live in the US).

 

It is real simple to do.

If you know them, the vehicle type and etc.

Call the FCC.

If you are referring to my post, my father made his living working in radio and having to deal with the problems he got from the illegals interference with the legal radio networks.

I personally have not ratted on anyone, but if the problem is that bad, it needs addressed.

Whether you have a jock strap or not, it does not affect me.
