check this out....from: Vista Proppants
Great News! For our West Texas locations (Kermit, Pecos, and San Angelo) we will now be paying hourly instead of by the load, at $25 an hour. This puts us at the top of the competition with other company pay rates – and we’re still offering the free housing and meal plans at no cost to the drivers. Drivers will be guaranteed at least 40 hours per week, and will be typically working closer to 60 – we will now pay time-and-a-half for the additional hours over 40. Hourly pay cuts out the issue of wait time at the well sites – drivers are guaranteed to be paid for all of their time, even if they get stuck on a wait. We still offer competitive benefits, PTO, and performance bonuses up to $5,000.

16-1700 week. That's not oil field money. You can make that and be home every day for working like Sysco 4 days a week.
-
Then again that's probably considered good for Texas.

You keep saying that, but that's about par for the course for every oilfield trucking job that I've had out here...be it sand or water. And I'm home every night. You can make more, but you're gonna run your ### off and never be home. And you're gonna work a helluva lot harder making that money with Sysco or other foodservice outfits. Hauling sand is super easy money. The easiest money I've ever made.Seattle206 Thanks this.

You must be in Texas.
