Deciding on buying new truck

04 should be a mbn cat single turbo unless it was converted to a 6nz which many people do.. 06 is a twin turbo which like stated by others is a 55 to 60 mph truck with 3.91 ratio ... seeing as the 6nz is considered the best electronic cat built by many . I know my choice

 

They never had egr, and I’ve owned two Acert’s and the twin turbos are not garbage.

 

Didn’t mean to offend if I did. It’s all personal preference. Some people have had a lot of problems with acert. My buddy has 3 in his fleet and converted them. One truck had 2 rebuilds in 3 years. Like is said, personal preference. If you have had good luck with them than that is great

 

No offense taken. I’ve heard of people having issues with them, but I know many that have owned them without any issues too.

No matter how good something is, there’s always someone with one that is nothing but trouble.
