Howdy, Buckeye.
Welcome to the forums.
To answer your question, I'm thinkin' checkin' the threads here, like
Report a Good Company
Report a BAD Company
And/Or others would provide you with information.
Also, Experienced Truckers Advice might be of assistance.
All that readin' material ---- I suggest fixin' a snack

Thanks for reply, I never thought it would be so hard to find a decent job driving after 16 yrs of experience, but I guess I am also being picky with my choice. I am trying to get in with Long Haul from minnesota but they currently have all their trucks full so I am on waiting list. Thanks again for help and have a great night.

That's pretty much where the truckin' industry is at, now-a-daze.
I'm goin' through the same thing with
CAUTION.
Goin' with just ANY truckin' can put a guy into a
deeper hole. And findin' a good truckin' company, these daze, ain't as easy as it once was.
Remember when a driver could quit on Monday and be back drivin'
for another company on Wednesday?
Sure ain't that way now.
BummerS!
For MANY reasons.
Keep posting here though!
HeaR?

You need to be picky. I wish everyone was picky.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 18, 2009

Want to improve your retention rates? Want to have happier drivers? All you have to do is tell the truth. If 50% of your freight is driver unload don't advertise 90% no touch freight. If your drivers get home every three weeks don't advertise "Home weekly." Pay the drivers what you say you will. And pay on time. In other words don't piss on my leg and try to convince me it's raining.

Welcome to the forums, Steve.

You brought up a good point.
But of the ads we are still readin' ----
How many of 'em have been recently up-dated?
I'm thinkin', in some cases, the same exact ads have been runnin'
for a couple of years now.
And wannaBees are readin' yesterdaze news.

Yeah I was one of them. They also need to quit saying that there's a driver shortage. I started trucking last year. and during my time driving I saw no evidence that there was a shortage.1pissedoffdriver and AfterShock Thank this.

They have the same type of student mill as CR England...it's called DRIVER SOLUTIONS. DS recruits for USA as well as P.A.M. and I think one other company. All I'm going to say is USA hired my ex-husband and, well, yeah heh. You drive for them, have fun.

SRT well I went to work there I am there now. I should have never left the yard with there truck. I read some of the post here after i got to oriatiion I had just found this site. after I got there. ALL THE BAD THINGS THAY SAY ABOUT IT ARE TRUE HERE AND IT GETS WORSE BY THE DAY. A man came in to orintion and he said he didn't thank this was the place for him. and you have to pay for the drug test your self. Thay told him if he left befor he took it thay would put it on his DAC that he refused.I hope I can get away from SRT with out something bad on my DAC but ever one I have talked to said even if you give the two weeks trun in every thing just like it was when thay gave it to you thay find somthing BAD to put on your DAc.
