Would you agree that Trucking, despite being a tough job, is actually very underrated and rewarding

If I don’t have to unload then I’m usually at work for 9 hours (7:00 to 16:00) that’s 508 miles driving each day.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

i certainly cannot argue with that. we are all needed, we all serve an important role in society.WesternPlains Thanks this.

Gets them out of mom's basement

Oh Gawdy no!
You dare let them outta the basement? You crazy?!
Just leave the millenials in the basements. They won’t know no different. Then...with grace towards the rest of us. They’ll die. Most assuredly with their smart phone in hand.

I think it's rewarding. Even if i get drug through a cesspool, I wake up someplace else and am glad I wasn't raised there or have to live there. The bad thing is not being able to stop when you pass though the good places.
homeskillet and Midnightrider909 Thank this. -
Not really you can make ok money but you work none stop. Drive and pay for college get an environmental engineering degree if your a hippyLav-25 Thanks this. -
i really dont have that bad, but while allot of america has pampered 9-5, 5 days per week..... that in no way describes my job, im working 8-10 hours per day 6 sometimes 7 days per week. working an 8 or 9 hour shift is not that bad though, home in plenty of time to do things like mow the lawn or take my kid in the pool.
i dont need to work 9-5, while many people are making $4-500 per week, i make twice that or more. $10-$12 per hour, forget about it.
