You have a gladhand that supplies more then enough air once you push in that trailer brake button. What not just use that. I did for many years.

Say you got crumbs all over your belly?
Would you rather reach down and grab the blowgun and blow them away or get the air hose out and search for the blow thing because you have the tire chuck on the hose and then get outside and hook the hose up and then blow the crumbs out onto the parking lot and then get out and unhook the hose and put it away and then make sure the trailer hose isn’t leaking?

    driverdriver and Lepton1 Thank this.

I never had that problem. However I blew my cab out almost everyday. I also used that gladhand hook up to put air in a tire. Those things are VERY handy.

That was my first thought as well. Simple, efficient, and no modifications necessary to anything.

There are at least 4 different types of quick-connects, and then at least 3 different sizes...not a one-size-fits-all.

There's a shut-off valve, which will make it easy to pull the female end off to take into the store with you to buy the type of male end that works with it. Or, you could simply look at whatever air tools you're supposed to be plugging into that and buy the same end.

Just a friendly warning here. I HIGHLY advise not splicing into anything on that tractors air system. Depending on the carrier sometimes mechanics have a checklist of things to inspect during a PM. If they see driver added stuff that is prohibited most times it gets removed. This also applies to inverters as well. This is not your property. Some carriers are VERY picky and others not so much. Be careful with this.
