The entire back half of the row in front of me is empty. There are also multiple empty spaces in the front half allowing a drive-through.
There are two empty spaces to my left, and then another four empty spaces beyond the truck in the third space.
The rest of the lot is about 1/3 full ... meaning lots of empty spaces.
Dude just spent 10 minutes and 27 moves (including 4 GOALs) in order to squeeze into the spot on my right between me and another truck.
3-minute update: he left.![]()

sometimes you just feel the need to get some practice in i guess.....
i wouldnt know first hand, i have a spread so i do as little as possible.........LOL -
If he needs that much practice ... I'd prefer he do it well away from my truck.

10-4 on that! If there's a pull-thru spot, it's mine! Why work if ya don't have to.MilkMan Thanks this.

I agree. Why back if you don't have to. Well,I guess he had his reasons. Doesn't make much sense to me though.

Did he have another person in the truck? Maybe he was a student with a trainer? We saw a driver go through Johnson's Corner about five times or so and thought they were desperate for a place to park. Found out different.
-
He was alone ... leastwise, there was no one else visible in the truck.

4 years ago while with my trainer. We'd stop for fuel/ showers, parking lot would be for most part mty, yet he'd have me back in between two other trucks.. Just for the practice.

I'm stuck with a refer right now. I tried to be considerate to others and pulled out of my parking spot to move down and park next to a refer. Any chance you're at the flying J in Peru, IL? I saw someone do the exact same thing, but it was a trainer with a student.

People have different reasons for doing what they do. Back when I used to haul into City Markets Warehouse in Grand Junction Colorado, I'd hit the Acorn for a break.
It did not matter to me how busy or slow they were, or what the weather was, I'd always park as far away as I could. Had a driver say to me one time, "what's that matter, Rookie, ya scared of puttin' a scratch on your trailer?"
Nope. I'd been driving for several hours, and felt that a bit of exercise might do me good. It wouldn't have hurt that driver to get a bit of exercise either.
