No I did't purge it with nitrogen. Just connected new lines and vacuum about two hours with 15 minutes vacuum - 15min break to evaporate all water from the system. Then final vacuum check about any leaks and charge.
Didn't do oil refill due to couldn't find source for the nitrogen as it require to fill system to do brazing.

On something like that you don't change the oil in the compressor. It's a hermetic type. Dry nitrogen will absorb moisture within the system as well. Too quick of a vaccum will cause any moisture in the system to freeze regardless of how many microns the system is in.
I'm pretty knit picky about stuff like that. Don't do residential stuff if I can help it much....just commercial stuff like chillers, and large direct expansion type units, and refrigeration but once upon a time residential is all I did. I came to the conclusion that I don't like dealing with people very much lol

Do you have copper lines? Mine just arrived today, and I'm trying to decide where I want to install it. I'm thinking that copper lines would break due to the movement of the cab with respect to the frame if it were installed on the catwalk?

I have spent all winter searching HVAC professional forums and internet. All answered NO. The problem is low temperature, high pressure and R-410 chemical property to leak thru. My idea was to use same hoses we use with manifold but it will crack in low temperature.
some people advised stainless steel flex pipes. But price will kill whole idea.

Why is it so hi? Is there a reason for mounting way on top?
