The easiest way is to call a recruiter for those companies and ask. SWIFT will usually hire anybody with a pulse.

Where is your location? We need to know the hiring area you live in before recommending companies.
Evergreenapple Thanks this. -

You will be fine. The first company may be the least desirable but just hanging in there a year.

The one thing that scares me is the training, teaming as a trainee is downright dangerous, and most companies I’ve seen that train make you do this -
Swift and Knight do hair follicle drug test. If you've done any weed or something within the last 12 months, go with Stevens Transport. Stevens does urine test, so you're good if you've been clean the last 90 days.
Stevens has a reputation for excellent cdl training. The others do too, but which ever you feel is best for you. Don't worry so much, truck driving is a simple task. -
Pull your MVR down at the local dmv and do a background check on yourself and see what comes up. Every single thing that comes up, list it on your application because even the worst company will #### can you at orientation if you lie to them. And yes assumes every company does a hair test. True story... Swift lease op for 5 years decided to give up his truck and go back to being a company driver. Thought he was good with a piss test like 3 months after a trip to Colorado. Boom. They dropped a follicle test on him at orientation to go back... he refused. Now he’s unemployable.

3 months ago, he is a fool. Look it up generally urine is 30 days and generally employers go back 90 days with hair, but they can go back further with hair. I read somewhere they go back with a hair test the more it costs them.
Truck driving a simple task? I think he is pulling your leg, it's going to take you a while to learn this job, even longer to become effective. Allot of people completely wash out. I don't consider myself to be a wash out but Ieft Werner after only 3 months, I work a home daily milk tanker job. I left Werner because of personal family reasons. I have utilized my CDL the entire since I acquired it 1-1/2 years ago but the vast majority of the time has been local.
Make sure this is what you to do and commit to it. -
Chinatown and Evergreenapple Thank this.
