Just watched a CNBC vid on the driver shortage & they show old stock footage of a British lorry driver.
They have a driver shortage also, but how lazy.

 

Why would you leave Sysco? In my area of the NW they avg around 65k a year to drive a pup trailer. Granted you fingerprint loads, but you stay busy & in shape

That GSF trailer ain't gonna unload itself at Mc D's & I believe it's overnight work which in PHX would be a plus because it's a furnace most of the year outside.

Well they are not local companies, but if you are looking for a LTL local p&d job, Estes and Saia are looking for p&d drivers for the Phoenix area according to their websites.

 

Be careful of Thompson industries or the same company named Phoenix Express. He hired me to run a load because a driver abandoned it in Nashville . So I ran it for him. Then another one a day later. He offered me a job so I jumped through all the hoops and sent in the docs. Never could get him on the phone again, and it was stall after stall. I kept hounding him for money and hit paid, but when a guy doesn't even have the class to call you it sucks. I even had to patch up his truck.
