I second this! I've had 4 different version of the Eaton Ultrashift transmission. (Linehaul 16 speed, Advantage 13 speed, Plus 10 Speed and Plus 13 speed) behind a DD15, MX13, Cummins X15E and now an A26 Navistar. All of them suck, are clunky, love to get stuck between gears in stop and go traffic, bang, jump around in reverse, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE knows how to program them properly. The 16 Speed i'm driving now behind the A26 in an LT, took me 3 phone calls with Eaton, and 3 different Maxim truck places to get creep mode enabled in Reverse. It works much better than the factory setup, but still can't touch the DT12 in factory configuration. The MX13 in a T680 with the Ultrashift Plus 10 speed was horrible, I mean undrivable bad. Kenworth kept re-programming it, but told me they didn't do things like "creep mode".

The second I have the option to pickup a new Cascadia with a DD15/DT12, i'm doing it.

I'm never going back to a shaker, but I'd love a paccar with an Allison. Those are true automatic transmissions that are literally just a big, beefed up version of the auto tranny in a 4 wheeler instead of these lousy auto shifters that are the worst of both worlds.

Yea, I got to drive a T880 Daycab, with a Cummins and TC10, it was freaking sweet man!

Get a Western Star then, cause that DD15/DT12 combo is something else, esp when you get away from Mega Carrier/Fleet Spec BS.

As soon as I finish my lease, I'm taking that lease payout straight to the KW dealership to more than likely get a W900 with a cummins x15 565 or 605 and an allison because I finally won't have some corporate big wig putting fuel mileage requirements on me for fuel I pay for anyway.

Engine brake on the paccar is absolute garbage. No matter how low I shift, I still #### near smoke the brakes when grossed out on a decently steep and long grade. Wouldn’t put an enemy in one.

Shaker will be a better bet. Also, if your pay in any way is tied to fuel mileage the shaker will be better.

Sad that the Pete is a paccar because the trucks themselves are usually very nice. I cannot recommend the motor.

Same story with this A26 motor, I run the PACNW and BC Mountians lots, god #### thing won't hold ####! Haven't smoked the brakes, but sure do have to watch it! really makes me miss my LT with the X15 (before it blew up) and I REALLY miss my 2016 Cascadia DD15/DT12, that thing had jakes for days, and would downshift so fast, you would think it was a true automatic. Mind you that was a turnpike spec one the Van fleet guys didn't get their hands on, and choke it to death with some BS custom mileage tune.

As much as I don't love the paccar motor, I think that a paccar truck with a cummins motor would probably be a great combo.

I agree, they want $245 000 dollars for it tho lol. I got a quote on an X15E/16 speed Eaton Linehaul in a 579 80 inch bunk, literally the most expensive truck i've ever priced out.

You should call Derek at Hunter Peterbilt in Allentown pa.

You can load every option and still be 50k under that ridiculous price.

    X15 power and all..

$245k? That's an absurd price. I see new 579s with those specs in dealer inventory that are literally $100k cheaper.
