Maybe not if he had another 100 miles to go.

I did that once in the manner I described, not quite as severely as you pictured, but it was enough to drain the air from the tire. I knew about it 10 minutes later when I parked to make a delivery.

Regardless, nothing excuses passing the buck by not writing it up to get fixed so the next driver has to deal with it.

We have lots of west coast freight, but teams usually get that. I have been out that way quite often this year, but that is an anomoly, wouldn't be surprised if i dont see those states again for the rest of the year.

If you live out that way I couldnt recommend coming here unless you only go home a couple times a year.

Yeah, all the trailer have inflation system. There is a light on the nose of the trailer that comes on if trailer tire pressures drop.

The trailer came from a shipper maybe 60 miles away. Personally, I think it happened half a mile from the yard. There is a tight right turn after getting off I95 that has some torn up curbing. There may be some exposed re-bar in the rubble that could easily rip the sidewall. You can see a huge missing chunk of rubber near the gash.

The thing is the driver wouldn't have had to really deal with it. It sat on the yard for a day before i hooked it. It could have been written up and left. A 5 minute effort on the driver's part...if they bothered to take a quick walk around and look.

I just did 4 round trips to California the last 3 weeks. New Mexico was putting up the sign saying welcome back John.

I train half the year so I see it too much. But the other half of the year when I don’t train, I still see it too much.

I have seen them in most of our trailers. Last week I pick up a bran new Great Dane trailer and I forgot to check and see if it had that.
