Looking for a professional or a very experienced RV driver for 1 week.

You could probably find an older person that would be interested in taking that job for you.
A truck driver is gonna do that in 2 days.
You're asking someone to kill a lot of time so that you can sight see.. understandable.. it's your dime.

But, figure on about $1000 wages, plus expenses... and how will they get home ?

Be careful whom you choose.
Lots of nut bags out there.
Do a proper background check.

 

Why don't you rent a large van? Might be cheaper and you could drive it, or him maybe. Check rates with Hertz, etc.

 

Oh boy. You are in a mess. Well get the logistics worked out about what happens to the RV and driver and put an ad on CL. You can look under people wanting jobs too. I would trust a commercial driver first. There may be a few retired guys that would help you out, especially if they are vets too. Take pictures of their ID and meet them at a police station. If they aren't afraid to go there it's a start. Email their pic and ID to a friend. Negotiate things up front so no surprises. You paying for a room and meals for the driver, etc. Good luck.

Also, what date do you want to leave etc.?
I know a young guy in his 20's that can handle an assignment like that, but he lives in Dallas area. You would have to fly him to Vegas, then drop him off in Dallas. He could get you from Las Vegas to Dallas in 2 days or less. He's works at a Whole Foods Market and is a Lyft driver on the side. He's given me a ride home from day surgery recently .

Go up to the local VFW hall and ask around. You have networking resources, use them!

Also, you might have better luck going up to the humane society and getting in touch with some rescue groups. It's not really their specialty to move 5 dogs, but they might be able to help point in the right direction.
