I recently stopped driving for swift after almost 2 years OTR. I just couldnt take it anymore.

I was wondering what are some good or decent jobs in the DFW area, that dont require you driving OTR or regional but still want CDL applicants, if any. Thank you.

Estes Express probably has local P&D work. Old Dominion Freight Lines probably has the same.
Home every day with these jobs.
    Do you have tanker endorsements?

You say Non-driving CDL jobs, but say you couldn't deal with OTR. Not sure what your interested in, but there is plenty of local driving jobs in DFW.

If you don't want to drive much at all. Maybe a dispatcher would work?

Just keep in mind that a lot of local gigs will run you 13 or 14 hours a day (with a 16 hour day thrown in from time to time). Sure you get to be home. But take out for commute time and you'll realize your home time is really no different than OTR. You just go home to sleep and shower. Get back up and do it again.

This is true, but you still get to sleep in your own house with your own kitchen, toilet, bed, couch, tv, etc. instead of a rolling closet. Plus if you get weekends off you can have some kind of normalcy to a social life.

I've just came back to OTR from doing the local thing for the last 4 years. So, Im not trying to bag on OTR because it definitely has its perks here and there. But there's just something about coming home to your own bed and tv that makes a terrible day at work just fade away.

RustyBolt and some other trucker Thank this.

Only take hourly pay, unless you get a dedicated home nightly run.
