It should be 11driving in 14 hrs and a 10 hr break. But they should get rid of 70 hrs in 8 days which i think is retarded. You should beable to go 11 14 10 as much as you like till you feel like going home.

If you manage time right you can work off the recap without the 34 restart.

I'm glad they left things the way they are. I can legally log 4500 miles a week as a solo driver under these guidelines.:biggrin_25525:

So according to this, once you start your workday, your 14 hs are not stopped. So what if you drive for 2 hrs and then sit waitn to get loaded for say 6 hrs then that only leaves 5 1/2 hrs to work for the day. Only 7.5 hr driving time for the day.
Maybe you will get 350-400+ miles a day.
Looks like the making for some mighty #### thin soup!!!

70 in 8 is just plain stupid, have to be very careful or if you run legal the clock runs out on day 6 or 7..........but because of a few "supertruckers" people are no longer allowed to use their own common sense....DUH.

That would work out great. If freight was moving good, AND you owned your own truck. Because you would be doing this for at least 3 weeks. Whether you wanted too or not, as a company driver.

I'm not a big fan of having to shut down, when I'm not tired. But there are benefits to companies being strapped hard with those laws.

lot of the "solar powered" drivers out there like the rules so they don't have to push hard, they don't have to worry about being too tired out to drive.
