There is no way you keep 4-7 truck lengths of empty space in front of you in traffic. Have you never had that 4 wheeler who sneaks between you and the guy you're passing with barely enough room, that's the sort of ninnys I'm talking about.

 

I rarely pass: 5-10 times per year (not counting traffic jams and inclement weather). There are very few people who drive slow enough for me to seriously consider passing, and they usually get up to speed while I am waiting for a safe opportunity to do so. Passing is something I don't bother doing unless I can stay within the speed limit, have a full safe following distance through the entirety of the maneuver, not cut anyone in the passing lane off, and have enough space to merge back into to leave whoever I am passing with a safe following distance along with myself).

 

I pass 5-10 times a day sometimes you must be stuck in one of those trucks governed at 65(that or getting old, just kidding.) I don't need a computer to back me off someone's backdoor in traffic and the people who do shouldn't be driving a truck.
