Failed DOT physical. Can I try a new doctor

I take a pill for my eye it has fluid in it and the pill is drying it out but the dot doctor failed me for eye vision test if I go to another doctor when my eye is better will the first doctors results effect it? Guess I am asking if the results are recoded st dmv in Virginia

 

You can always go to a new dr. I had a friend that the one doc wanted to give him a 6 month med card. I recommended my doc. My doc issued him a 2 year.

 

Go to another doctor. And no you won’t get into trouble. They do not deal with dmv. It is on you to go put your medical card on file with dot. Their medical records stay only with them.

 

One thing you don't do is tell a doctor you snore while taking your physical for your medical card.

 

Good. BMI is a joke. I’m overweight if we go off that crap because it doesn’t account for muscle.

Just look at someone and tell them if they are fat. Stop overcomplicating it.

 

Go somewhere else and get one. Good gosh I have seen drivers out here that could hardly walk..even saw one using a portable breathing machine at the gas pumps..sounds like you are much better off.

 

It’s embarrassing. I get “you don’t look like a truck driver” all the time. What does that even mean? Not all of us are 400 pounds wearing xxl sweat pants.

Some of us do manage our weight and eat something besides hot dogs, believe it or not.

 

I have not seen any evidence that any of that is true. Far as I know BMI
and BP levels have not changed. If they have I would like to see the evidence.
