1)I don't deliver loads on time - I deliver them early. 2)No, I DO NOT have to drive unsafe. That log book is no different than an IRS 1040 form. You WILL fill one out, but no one is 100% honest. And please can we get off the "strictly leagal" deal. No one, not nobody, ever in history has run 100% legal. NO ONE. According to FMSCR regs - every time you called or answered the phone with your dispatcher you're supposed to go to line 4. That goes for ALL TIME spent waiting at a shipper/receiver to be unloaded/loaded, etc.
Now, here come the semantics and the nit-pickers.
I am looking for a great company

You say that's every drivers dream job, but most drivers I've met despise going to California and Canada, don't like to run out west, won't run out west in the winter time, and want to be home 3 times a week??? It's baffling that I've gotten comments such as these.
As far as $.42 cpm ... you can probably get that with a company, but you won't be getting the miles. They'll make you sit around until they find a higher paying load in order to pay you that much. 'tis better to take less per mile and get more miles, than more per mile and less miles. -

I don't mean to stir the pot here, but....you wanna work harder for the same paycheck? -
I always thought SC and Augusta were crap areas for freight.
With 10yrs on gofor Walmart or something decent. Don't lowball yourself at .38 either. 40cpm+ and holdout for a good truck and not these ULSD demons.
At .38 and 10yr+ any bottom-feeder recruiter will be hunting you down.
All the Bigs run regional + Canada. -
actually thats where yer wrong, call me a liar all ya want, but i have never, not once, cheated on my log books, i have seen from other drivers what happens when ya get busted for log book violations.

You could try System Transport out of Spokane, WA. Check out their pole fleet. I don't know what the rate is now, but I imagine it's pretty close to what you want. Never had a problem keeping moving, either.
