I can definitely see where this is going, I am a current over the road driver, I was simply stating my experience with this company. I see bad reviews about every single company out there, and was just simply trying to explain my experience with Gray, I will always say that no two peoples experience with a company are going to be the same. I have worked for a lot worse trucking companies.

If this company has new equipment,then why is the vehicle OOS rate at 36.7% compared to the national average of 20.7%???

 

I can only speak for myself, I do proper pre-post trips, if there are any issues that would subject me to failing an inspection I address it and get it fixed, that way I don’t have to pay for it later, with a fine and or CSA points on my license. I have been driving for 4yrs and only have 2 points on my CDL. I really try to make a point to keep it that way. You could ask the same question as to why certain companies higher accident/crash ratings, it boils down to the individual driver, these are things a driver can control and ultimately fails to do so. If there is something wrong with any of the equipment I drive I get it addressed immediately, my truck just got out of the shop in Davenport because of an issue, took my hometime then to get it addressed killed two birds with one stone.
