What is your level of experience? What is your recent experience? How is your MVR? What kind of freight are you looking to haul? What companies have you contacted and why have they turned you down?

What kind of experiance? Pgt trucking has a yard in Trenton and take older trucks, so long as your mvr and history don't make you a liability you should be able to get on.

P&s transportation also has a yard in Elizabeth new Jersey. 1 year driving experiance ia what they require

 

Go on craigslist . Everyday in North Jersey they have 7-10 job postings for owner ops . Mostly port and rail work though . Port pays better but more hassle . Rails are pretty easy work but pays less . I hate to say it but try jb hunt intermodal out of Elizabeth . Home everyday probably gross 600-700 if not more on less than 200 miles a day . I've talked to some of their drivers with different stories regarding pay . I can only assume you're being picky because Jersey has plenty of work . Picky is good though we all need to get paid for what we're worth .
