2016 Volvo 780 can not start regen.

Google the code. Why are you trying to do a regen? When you check you ats status how high us your soot?

 

http://www.truck.ru/downloads/volvo.pdf. Well I'm no mechanic so i would listen to him before me. However if the "engine in derate 5 mph" message isn't showing I'd drive it (at least to a volvo shop)

 

I unplugged the speed sensor a couple of times when was derated with emissions problems, and kept moving to shop, saved $$$ on towing, go to app store download a speed app on your phone , there are dozens , all work, so you can watch your speed via phone gps, is very accurate. But this may not work with i-shift, i have 13 manual, the speed sensor is located at rear end of transmission .

Go thru your menu find after treatment. Go to that then scroll down to soot level. It will not let you do a parked regen, if it's not needed. Soot has to be appx a little past the half way mark. (If you check level several times a day. You will see it goes up and down, because truck burning fee and regen going down the road) The only 2 ways I have found to FORCE a regen are. Take it to shop they can hook comp up and do a 2 hour forced regen. Or start truck and do not shut it off for 1-2 days and dont increase idle speed.
