Yeah, but there was something pure about being in the oilfields that I wouldn't trade for anything. The testosterone filled air, the H2S gas, and #### talkers that could spin a web a mile long. 23yr Olds running around with their chest poked out,and driving 60K pickup trucks. Fast Women Flying around town in Corvettes. Fights! It was pure brother! It was pure!
I turned back on my resume, and I got an interview this Thursday!

When I was out there all the old hands said stack that money up. Oil haulers still have work when the price of oil drops again.

Yes there is a bunch of people with poor mentality back out here again spending money as quickly or faster than they can get it. Financing a bunch of crap they may be earning a lot of money but have none. it all goes out the back door.

Yeah when I first got out of Halliburton I wen to Gulfmark Energy for a few months hauling crude, but they switched from 24/hr to by the load and rate. Hence why I left! I've spent the last 2.4 years in school getting finishing up degree. Just wanted to accomplish that goal to show my kids! /shrug Since I was wise with the money! I was able to get it done without much stress. Saving that money was an important developed skill.

There are 2 certainties in the patch, the boom and the bust. Nobody can predict when either will happen so if you go the oil field, save that money!!!
