My mom was pretty cranky when she came out of the induced coma and wasn't exactly thinking logically. Previously we had talked about what would happen when my sister moves out and had a plan for a nice assisted living facility. Mom needs my sister around to take care of the house, and I pay my sister to stick around and put up with my Mom (I love her, but we are dealing with the early stages of dementia, plus functional alcoholism , and a strong loner streak). She just needed to be reminded of the options - one little surgery and she stays "fully" independent or leave her home of 35 years .x1Heavy Thanks this.

Im familiar with MH issues you listed. Spouse was a licensed caregiver for certain persons with that kind of issue. I suppose my task was to take a load off her when she came home sometimes. Those particular cases end the same when something comes along and compromises the body systems in some form.
I understand those devices have gotten pretty good when implanted. I cannot imagine the billing involved in something like that.
Im pretty sure anyone hurt enough to be induced would be pretty cranky.
Hang in there.
