My original Trans cooler let loose dumped 2 gallons of coolant in my Trans blew the transmission, I always saw 250 on hot days with that one,so when I replaced that one I opted for a aftermarket air cooler instead,it was a great call the hottest I ever saw was 160-170 maybe on a hot day

250 is too hot. You are breaking down the oil itself. Then induce a spiral upwards that never stops.
Put a air cooler on there.
190 or so upgrade isnt bad, that bad yet. But when you get above 200 towards a max of around 225 Im looking for a spot to give her a rest soon if it's hot outside.
I would say I never had a computer truck complain of hot oil, since they took over. But at the same time not having those dials in there for all the oil temps (Engine, axles and trans etc) made me somewhat dumber. So... shrugs.
For some dumb reason I remember some of the older trucks acting arthritic early in the morning for about 10 miles or so until all the fluids managed to heat up to temp and start making it run better. That was long ago. -
What does it mean when the gauge constantly moves back and forth between 300 and 100 rapidly, and now stuck on 100 and does not move. 13 speed, Eaton Fuller transmission.

I hope you got a air cooler for that trans oil, pay mind to the engine oil temp, your axles temp as well as the pyro if you have those gauges. If all are similar such as 215 or so to 230ish on the axles and about that much agreement across the board with the coolant where it should be you are doing fine.
But keep an eye on it. Take a downshift and ease off the hammer a little while take a load off. It might take you another 20 minutes to get up and over. Give her a little slower coming down to cool off that work you are doing.
If the trans continue to climb past 250 that's quite enough, you need to find a shop and quick. Especially if your axles and engine do not also agree with similar numbers going up along with it. -
Are these air coolers universal ? Maybe I should be switching my coolant one out.
