Stay away from SPD companies!!!

I know,right? Enquiring minds want to know the juicy details-SPILL IT!!

 

I live in the area & SPD is well known for treating their teams like royalty & their solos like dirt if they don't stay out 4-6 weeks.
Most wives would complain if they see their husband once a month. The ones who don't? Well now, thats another subject LOL

Wife needs a hobby that doesn't involve and revolve around big bucks husband. Part time job might help.

 

That may be true for the Washington yard. I know a few years ago I was home almost every weekend running out of Wichita. Made lots of money and was Wichita driver of the year. Not quite being treated like dirt.

In the past we have been a truly long haul company. As a solo anything under 500 miles is paid hourly because guys were saying it wasn’t worth their time.

As a business and an industry most of the coast to coast runs are shifting to team because of “Just in Time” manufacturing.

We have picked up quite a bit more regional work around most of our terminals. This will help with guys wanting to be home more. Naturally they won’t make as much money as the guys that stay out.

No. The pay was to low and we don’t run enough miles on the wing crew for it to make sense.

I also would never do a program with that “bonus” structure for two reasons. Holding back part of your pay and giving it to you at the end of the year is not a bonus. Also if you get hurt or quit you lose what ever “bonus” you have built up. That’s ########.

The program will work good for some. I can deal with the fluctuating pay. Last month I had a $1100 dollar pay period followed by an almost $6k dollar pay period.
