ARE YOU SURE YOU NEED TO TAKE YOUR DOG IT,S A HARD LIFE FOR A DOG WAITING CAUSE YOUR NOT ALLOWED OUT OF TRUCK AT SHIPPERS OR RECEAVERS ITS HARD TO FIND TIME OR PLACE WHERE THEY CAN GET OUT, ANOTHER THING IS SIZE OF THE DOG VERSES SIZE OF THE TRUCK. AND THEN THERES SHEDING I LOVE DOGS , ENOUGH NOT TO PUNISH THEM ON THE TRUCK .

Lots of yelling there lol.
I got home yesterday, after being out a little over a month. I did the same thing I always do when I get home; I parked the truck in my spot, opened the door, and told my dog "go ahead". He knows that's his signal to get out of the truck, without his leash on. He took off out of the truck and went running around the house. I went inside, did a few things, came back out about 10 minutes later. He was sitting on the front porch when I opened the door. As soon as I stepped out, he jumped up wagging his tail, ran to the truck and sat down waiting for me to come open the door back up so we could go somewhere else.
Just because you might think it's "punishment" to keep a dog on a truck, does not mean that you're correct.Monkey in a truck Thanks this. -
Calm down on the caps, and there are dogs that love riding in cars/trucks so I don’t see how it’s a hard life for the dog if the dog loves it.
Very well said and I couldn’t agree more.cmarona463 Thanks this. -
In Western PA you might be in hiring area for Eastern Freight Ways. I ride with my cat, home weekends, avg $1,050/WK gross.
If you want regional I see George Hildebrandt, Western Express, Horo, PGT, and Gypsum Express all over PA/NJ and at drop and hook sheetrock plants (US/GP/USG).
TMC does lots of business here but no pets allowed. Melton/Roehl are an options but honestly I don't see many of their trucks around on the road or at truck stops in the northeast.
Not sure what each of those have for pet policy, pay, etc. but those are the companies running north east/mid Atlantic flatbed. -
Nope! My dog loves travaling the country. He gets more exercise on the road than when he is home. I make sure to give him long walks all over tje USA. When parking for the night our a #1 priority is how much grass does it have..he loves the road. He looks forward to coming home to see our cats but after a day or so he starts getting bored. Taking a dog trucking is by no means punishment as long as you give them some walking and roaming time, their life is so much more exciting than that of almost all of their counterparts who sit in the same yard or house their whole life.cmarona463 Thanks this.
