Had a friend total truck and trailer this week. His B.P. meds were just increased and made him sleepy. He skipped his nap and crashed 30 minutes later. He`s okay.
IronRydr I am originally from Greenwood-Crozet area.Went to AHS.Noticed you are around my age.Might even know each other. -
Glad he's ok!
But... how do you know when it's 30 minutes after a skipped nap? -
Interesting presentation.
You have a valid medical card of two years. Hired and receive a new card of only 1 year.
As long as the 1 year is valid, the previous would not be a problem. If the one expires and you still try to use the one issued prior, the company should catch it since it is expired. If caught using a medical form not on record with the company, I would imagine the insurance would be questionable in an accident. -
Viking, I think you should relax here and just "go with the flow." You got your DOT card before you started taking the BP medication. Your DOT card is still valid, it does not change just because you are on a prescription med you were not on when you got the card.
Since you are not currently working for a company, I just don't see any problem here. When you get hired on, answer any and all questions honestly, and don't worry about it. I would not be surprised if they make you take a company DOT physical. A lot of the bigger companies do.
If this happens, just be sure you list your BP med, along with any other meds you are taking. Should not be a problem.
I just don't see where there is any reason for concern here. You are not trying to hide anything.munrkr Thanks this. -
The reason for concern is he got a 2 year card just a few months ago . If you are on medication for BP you can only get a 1 year card . That's what Roadmedic and I were discussing . If he takes a company physical he says he will be honest about his medication - and get a 1 year card .

Differential, GO! -
He normally stopped at the same exit every morning, but not that morning.

I think you're both right! If he got a new "end date" on his card when he went on BP meds, and it comes before his original card expires, common sense would dictate that his original card would be invalid (period).
Having said this, The old fart makes the most Jermain point. The kid is not in any trouble. So long as he sees his doctor before ANY card expires, and checks the Blood Pressure box on the long form at his next physical, he should be okay. Right?
