And use a Gates Green Stripe belt, if you’re not already. Dayco and a lot of others are too springy and spongy.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

What about the accessory drive itself? Could that be causing your issue?

I've been wondering if it was the accessory drive or maybe the dampner is bad and letting more vibration go through everything

    Rideandrepair and jamespmack Thank this.

Napa belts are pretty good. On par with Gates.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

With the belt off, is there any slop up and down in any of the pulleys?

I didn't notice any slop up and down but you can twist the accessory drive back and forth a tiny bit

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

How much is a tiny bit? In terms of a minute hand on a clock... 5 seconds (barely felt but not enough to see)? A minute? 5 minutes?

If the gear lash is excessive, it could cause the belt to vibrate.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
