We lost two employees who were crushed to death unloading a trailer. I post this as a reminder to all of us who load and unload trailers... please be careful. Your families need you. Nothing we do is worth loosing your life over. If your asked to do something you think is dangerous, don’t do it.

    It’s only freight.

    Corian sheets...

And the moral of the story is...

Don’t haul garbage freight. This is what happens.

That’s the worst thing about the LTL business anymore.

What are the odds XPO was even giving the shipper pallet rate for that junk?

Slabs are dangerous even on flatbeds. Pain in the ###.

"38-year-old Christopher Klosin of Barker and 62-year-old Roger Magine of Newfane were pronounced dead at the scene, however their exact cause of death has not been determined."

The "exact cause of death" was aggravated stupidity on the part of two companies who don't understand the difference between flatbed freight and box freight: The shipper, and XPO. I hope the survivors sue both of them into a parallel dimension. This is criminal negligence, pure and simple.

Because we don’t have the tools to handle it. It falls on deaf ears.
