no they do not take students from other schools. you have to go to theirs and pay back the school to them . costs about 3000, but you only repay 1200 back and central covers the rest but you have to sign a 1yr. contract to drive for them, if you break the contract you will owe the full $3000.00 to them. they only take $25 a week from your check to cover your part . not a bad deal really. if your strapped for cash like so many people are in todays times. just remimber central is a starter company many people use it as a stepping stone. just like me.

Has anyone been on Central's new E-Logs to tell me about them. Any problems or short cuts you may have to make things smoother.

1) They suck.
2) There are no short cuts that have been found... Yet.
3) They REALLY suck. -
Tip: as soon as you get to a stop, do a mac 45 to line 1/2 then spend time parking or whatever. This will save time on your 70.
NEVER mac 45 to line 1/2 during a police stop or weigh station or fueling. When fueling, get fuel then pull forward, then mac 45 to line 1.
Before you start driving for the day, mac 47 to make sure you are legal. You can always edit line 1/2/4 to line 1/2 if you need the hours for your 8/10 hr break. I've gotten violations and simply edited line 4 and got legal again.
Make sure you have 5-10 minutes on line 4 at beginning and end of shift for your pre/post trip inspections. (Of course, I have heard of dot officers making truck drivers do an inspection and if they couldn't do it in the time they have logged then they get a ticket... so, make sure you got whatever time on line 4 you're comfortable with.)The Challenger and Baack Thank this. -
