SpringMo by this weekend to turn truck back over to owner & depart Prime. Will be in town for rest of the week.
652,000mi put on this '15 Cascadia since new. Been a very, very good baby to me. (Even w/tolerating some certain student abuses....LOL). Much more luck w/it than the other 3 different models/makes I ran in the past.
I've been blessed with meeting so many experienced & knowledgeable folks that have become good friends, both inside & OUTSIDE Prime........ I can't even count them all.
(While he may never see it here... HUGE, HUGE thank you to Jerry Fritz, for all the occasions I ran into him & the over 50+yrs business experience he is able to offer up, however humble he may be..).
Actually, the past student relationships I've made & maintain have been the biggest reward of all from my time spent here. And, also a few others here that know who they are..... a few hiding back in the shadows here that have gone on to doing well in their own way! I see you guys poke in from time to time....!
Just knowing what effect I might made in some lives overshadows anything & all else I could ever think of. There IS no placing a $ value on that. No way, no how.......
It's been a good ride, with the usual speed bumps along the way. Have to say, the last 4+yrs have truly been a valuable learning experience. For that, I will be forever greatfull to Prime.
If this 'ol fart had to do it all over again, I'd do it over again in a heartbeat, just not quite as long....
Going to miss running a full million miles for them by a bit, but do not think 825,000 over that time was too shabby at all.
But, at last.... it's time to move on.
Hoping for the best w/my own truck.
We will see if'n I hang myself, eh.....?
NavigatorWife and redoctober83 Thank this. -
A very hearfelt thanks to a couple of long ago guys we no longer see here, because I have that much gratitude to them dating all the way back to my beginnings.....
First & foremost to @ironpony.... my lord, at a loss for words at how much you helped me coming out here. Feel so priveledged to have met you on several occassions to talk in person. Meek & humble as he was. A retired engineer extraordinaire. Till our paths cross again, my friend....... ( banned from site permanantly....LOL! Loved his spunk for telling it true & never backing down. )
@silenteagle many, many thanks for all the advice, too. Think it was you that gave me the tip to save my neglected pickup truck's batteries from the ravages of winter over in long term parking.
@Chucktaylor, another thanks out to all the help in the beginning.
Driver turned turncoat and went "inside", LOL
Do not know if these guys will ever see, as haven't been on here for awhile. But, had to give it the 'ol red neck try, just in case......
Can never forget the guys from back then, that are actually STILL WORKING for a living out here TODAY......!
@PChase & @skellr..........
It may normally go unsaid, but I thank you both for always being there. The survivors that are still kicking 'round!
Some might find it worthwhile to listen a bit to those that have actually made it work here. But, as you know..... we also deal with a lot of idiots coming out here, too.
Peace out to all my brothers (& actually, to several sisters, too....).
cabwrecker and redoctober83 Thank this. -
NavigatorWife and FullMetalJacket Thank this.

Remember me btw? I asked you a bunch of questions three years ago about prime? Ran FB for them for a while. Now an O/O steel hauler making twice what I did on half the work. Prime is a great stater company but real drivers deserve real cash. You'll do great with your own truck I'm sure. Best of luck.NoBigHurry, NavigatorWife and FullMetalJacket Thank this.
