Geez, with this one and the other one about a robber posing as a stranded motorist... I might be finding some alternatives to the regular stops and phoning in stranded motorists rather than stopping anymore.

I feel like my husband and his co-driver are sitting ducks out there. They were in Barstow bout last week. I feel like an overbearing mother hen when I remind him everyday to lock his doors and watch who is around him. Wish it was not illegal for drivers to carry guns. I feel safer out here in the boonies. By the time an intruder made it past the locked fences and the dogs my already loaded gun will be ####ed.

There is NO FEDERAL LAW outlawing possession of a gun in a CMV. They are only covered by STATE and LOCAL Laws.

A PROPERLY PERMITTED GUN would be allowed in the state the permit was issued in, if there were no other "concealed weapon" laws outlawing carrying in a vehicle.
Some states allow concealed weapons in vehicles, others allow "open" carry while others don't allow it at all.
